TTIC #56-Scrap New Moon

Alison came up with today's AWESOME challenge. She actually issued it last week, but this week the design team is showing off their creations. You still have time to make something! Here are the details!

Hey Twilighters! The time has come! The wait is over! New Moon was released last Friday!!

I'm betting that a lot of you made big plans; I know I did! But here's the thing, we at TTIC don't want to just hear about your experience with the movie, we want to see it!!!

Did you pack up your camera and TAKE PHOTOS of your New Moon experience? Pics while you're were waiting in line, of you and your Twi-friends, and even the afterglow of seeing all your fave Twi-boys??

Now, pull out your die cut machines, your snazzy embellishments and make a layout! Journal about your night out! Show us those awesome photos! Scrap your movie tickets! Let's all get scrappin'!!!

I decided to make a wallet album of my experience with the girls! I got the instructions from Splitcoast Stampers HERE!

Here it is all folded up! I thought the sentiment was perfect for New Moon.

Here it is un folded but not showing the photos yet. I made the "title page" with Artful Inkable stamps. Finally, here it is open.Below are the two photos in the album plus one of our food. In the photo above, From left to right, Michaela, myself, Amy and Naunna all went to a place called the Legends. It is an outdoor shopping center about 30 miles away from where we live. We had lunch at a place called The Yardhouse. It was awesome. We all ordered something we wanted, but then just passed it all around. Amy got a crab cake sandwich, I ordered Mac + Cheese squared, Michaela got short ribs and Naunna got Garlic Lobster noodles (my fav!) I felt very European sharing our food that way. Michaela and I thought about sharing a Chocolate Beer (yes real beer) float, but we wanted to get to the movie and get a good seat. We did hit a chocolate shop before the movie for some snacks.

Seeing the movie with the girls was actually my second time seeing it. I think I liked it better the second time because I wasn't worried about what they may or may not have screwed up.

Penguin fun!

I still can't get enough of these little guys! They are just too fun. I colored them ages ago, so it is making it really quick to create cards from them. I was going to make my Christmas cards using them years ago, but life happened and they sat, dressed up with no place to go! Finally I am able to use them. This was the original layout I was going to use for those Christmas cards. The paper is from my new Holiday stack, no surprise. I wanted to use some of my Making Memories Blossoms and Blooms to add a little something to the card. Who says there can't be flowers around Christmas? Hope you enjoy! Erica

Delightful Sketches #12

Card number 2! This time using the Delightful Sketch for this week. I changed it up and made a birthday card this time uses this adorable set by Reflections! I saw Jen use it and like most things she uses, I had to have it. I also got matching paper. I used colored pencils this time. I am enjoying experimenting with them currently. Oh, and I doodled for the first time. I did faux stitching. I don't know where it came from, but I love how it turned out.
The book is still going. They just got out of the meadow and they kissed for the first time!!! *Swoon*!

Sketch Saturday #79

You will *hopefully* be seeing a lot of cards today. This is the last weekend before the craft fair I have next weekend. I am also participating in a few challenges to help me accomplish some cards quickly. I have my audio version of Twilight playing in the background, which is keeping me entertained.
The first card I made today was for Sketch Saturday #79. I used the penguins again. Be prepared to see a lot of penguins, drummer boys and snowmen in the cards. I am trying to do a lot of Christmas cards for the craft fair. Be back with some more projects later!

Butterfly thinking of you

Here is one of the cards I made a couple of weeks ago at my friends house. I got to play with some of the new Stampin Up supplies and colors. I also love using Jessica's punches.
I love the new paper and colors. I just wanted to make something very simple. I added the rhinestones on the butterflies when I got home because I knew I had to perfect touch. I think they add a little pazzazz. I also tore the front of this card, so the patterned paper is actually on the inside of the card. I like that technique and don't use it a lot, but it works here.

Happy Thanksgiving! Here is a very quick post because I must get back to gorging myself! I am very thankful for my lovely friends, and wanted to share this card I made a couple weeks ago.

CPS143

I hope you aren't getting sick of the snowman or the DCWV stack? I am just falling in LOVE with both of these. I used the CPS143 sketch for this card.

I had never done this ribbon technique, but I LOVE how it turned out! I was lucky I found this ribbon in my scraps. I bought the silver cord to make ornament strings, but have found how many more uses it has...especially since I still haven't used it as ornament strings!

I have NO school today! I am SOOO happy about that. I should be studying or cleaning...but I think I will make more cards today! So keep watching for more posts!

Does anyone have big plans for Thanksgiving? This is the first year that I am having to do TWO Thanksgivings in one day! Wade and I are going to his family's in the early afternoon and then we are going to my house for Thanksgiving with my mom, dad and Chocolate and Oreo!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #45

Here is my card for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #45. I used my Penny Black snowman. I just love him. Again, I pulled out that great DCWV Holiday stack. I love stacks because it makes it easier for me to mix patterned paper...even though I am still working on it!
The sentiment is from G Studio and it came out kind of blotchy, but now I really love the effect it created. I always have a problem with my brown coming out blotchy.

Combo Challenge

I have had so much fun playing along with challenges recently. This time I played with two challenges. I participated in the TCP Tuesday challenge which is embossing this week. ("Do I smell cake? is embossed in white) Then I used the Card Patterns Sketch #42 as well.

I really love this card because it could be used for a masculine birthday!

I also did something I don't normally do, I decorated the inside. I hate using my paper for the inside, especially Basic Grey paper, but I thought it would look nice all done up.

I have been making a ton of cards and sketch challenges have really been helping, so I will be showing off more of those VERY soon!
